Guest guest
What are your temps averaging. If the average is within .2 degrees of each other from day to day then you should be where you need to be on your cortisol and do not need to raise. Does your BP fall from sitting to standing or does it rise? Taking HC doesn't necessarily make you feel better immediately. Many times you will feel worse as your hypo T symptoms increase. I believe that is what is going on with me right now. For about a month or so I felt a bit better on HC, but then started feeling like I did before I even started HC.(That's why I haven't been posting much. I can't seem to focus on my computer screen for more than a couple of minutes at a time and I'm REALLY behind on my e-mails). My ferritin is still low so I need to be cautious about starting thyroid meds. If your temps are wintin the .2 degrees, then you should hold it there for a few days and then maybe try an increase of your thyroid (if indicated). Unless Val says something different in the morning. :-) Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
My temps since being at 7.5 - 5 - 2.5 - 2.5 (for two days) and 10 - 5 - 2.5 - 2.5 (for three days) has been. 97.8 98 98 97.8 97.6 I just wondered about the afternoon fatigue. I wondered if the 2.5 wasn't enough with the high am dose. > > I've worked my way up to 20HC (10 - 5 - 2.5 - 2.5) and have done that > for three days. Guest guest
Sounds ot me like now you have enough cortisol you are running out of T3. I would not raise the HC more, but rather start the T3. You do nto have to stop Syncrap to start T3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Thanks Val. That's kind of what I was thinking but couldn't figure out if that was causing the late afternoon fatigue. Speaking of T3, I'm sure I have very very little since I have very high RT3 ratio. I will watch temps a few more days and then add the T3. May I ask, how would I do the dosing. Doc wants me to take less Synthroid (.25 from .50) and start with 5mg of Cytomel twice a day. Does that sound like a good dosing or should I do it more often? Thank you so much. > > Sounds ot me like now you have enough cortisol you are running out of > T3. I would not raise the HC more, but rather start the T3. Guest guest
With just 5mcg that is fine as that is a minute dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
As I increase the cytomel amount, which I will be doing, would I need to take it more often during the day? Not sure how I would do that because of keeping it away from food etc. > > With just 5mcg that is fine as that is a minute dose. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
In the purest sense o f the word you can take Cytomel twice a day BUT what O have found is it works much smoother and less stress to the adenlas to take it four times a day. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
