Guest guest
Sometimes clinics that help the under privileged will take meds. The sharps containers are mainly to protect people from getting stabbed accidently. We used to have a lot of needles before my daughter started using an insulin pump, you're not required to use a " sharps " container, any hard plastic container can be used and marked, but they do all seem to end up in the dump. > > Yes, once a year, and I bet most people do just throw toxics in the > trash rather that store them until the next hazardous waste drop off day. > I will ask my pharmacist, but I bet they have no way to properly dispose > of unused meds or supplements. > I DO know that when I asked about disposal of used needles they told me > to just put them in a lidded plastic bottle and dispose of in the trash. > They said that is basically what is done with the " toxic " / " sharps " > containers in dr.s offices and the hospital here--they go into the > regular garbage.
