Guest guest
Hi Val and all I need some help on my thyroid ultrasound results. I had my first ultrasound around 1995 and doctor told me at that time that i had some small nodule problem. no further research was advised. that is all i remember. I had an ultrasound done at 2002. that showed 19*10 mm sized nodule at left side..doctor asked me to have a fine needle biopsy. I could not have it done as I was very sick due to adrenal problems and I also am reluctant to have biopsies. yesterday I had another ultrasound. that showed a nodule of size 28*18*15 mm iso-hipoechoic nodule at left side and two other small nodules at right side. I am ignorant of thyroid issues and I have couple of questions regarding this problem. is it common to have goiter for hypo patients? is iso-hypoechoic nodule something important? it seems that nodule at left side increased in size by about 50 percent.. from 0.74 inch to 1.14 inch in length in 6 years. Would you think this is an important increase. Reason I am asking this is that doctor will probably again ask for fine needle biopsy and I really don't wish to have it done. I will receive my other thyroid test results next week.TSH,ft3,ft4,antibodies.. what do you think? do you think I should worry about this nodule? thanks a lot.
