Guest guest
Not really, two different kinds of heart disease. Congestive heart failure is an enlarged heart with fluid surrounding it and cardiomyopathy is inflamed heart muscle. The latter I don't know much more about. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
>>Is the thryoid related to congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation???<< YEs both. Although you can get A-Fib from other things it can be the result of high thyroid, though I m nto sure about hypo being a cause. Hypo can definitely cause CHF. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Thanks Val, My mom came down with chf and atrial fibrillation. Her latest tsh blood test was: tsh 2.32 ( .45-4.5) ft4 1.6 ( .8-1.7) ft3 2.2 (2.0-4.8) Her sodium was 138 ( 135-145) How do those numbers look and what can she do to help her situation out with the heart. With the a fib. her pulse runs rather high..... The doctor has her on Coreg which regulates the blood pressure and also brings down the pulse slightly. He also had her on Digoxin to slow down the pulse but my mother was seeing halos at night from the digoxin so she takes it sparingly when the pulse starts to rise...She aslo has stage 3 kidney disease as well... I am at such a loss of what to do for her. I just do not trust these doctors.... Thanks for your help.....
