Menstrual Cycle & Iron Supplementing

With so many supplementing iron on here I wanted to ask about possible cycle

changes.

I've been taking ferrous sulfate 975mg/day for low ferritin about 6 weeks now.

I'm peri-menopausal, missing a cycle now and then, a few times a year. This

last period has been really strange (initially very dark color, different flow,

thicker consistency) and today is day 10. I've never had more than a five day

cycle.

I'm wondering, since the bowels change with iron, if the cycle would show up

differently too. Any experiences with this?
