Hi ,

I use the Walmart brand, equate 1% Hydrocortisone cream/ I use a 1/8

tsp measure and a 1/4 tsp measure, small oval plastic ones I got in a

set in a dollar bin somewhere. I think oval ones are easier to fill

accurately. Just my 2 cents. I fill the 1/8 tsp half full for 2.5 mg. If

I overfill the measuring spoon, I scrape off the extra with the other

spoon, and use it as part of my next dose.

Do you mean where it works the fastest? The cream absorbs quickly

everywhere on me, my skin is pretty dry.

If I need it to work quickly, I apply it on ankles/tops of feet, or on

wrists and inner side of forearms/elbows. The larger doses I sometimes

split, putting some on ankles and some on thighs or hips. I've also used

back of knees, inside of thighs, outside of thighs. At least once a day

and usually twice, I apply the cream to my abdomen, over the ribs or

tummy, as this is where I get the itches most often. So it does double

duty there. Someone recently posted they use the backs of the hands, and

that is something I will be trying.

Since I have a lot of skin itchies, and they signal the start of hives

and eczema, if any place itches I apply the next dose of HC on that

area(s), or sometimes will use part of the next dose a bit early, or a

very small extra dose on itches.

Hi Sol,

Thanks so much for explaining all that info. I tried, unsuccessfully,

swap one oral hc dose out for 1% Walmart brand hc cream yesterday. It

didn't work, but then again, it probably wasn't the best time since I'm

under a lot of stress right now. I also (DUH!) tried swapping the

largest hc dose I take, so next time I think I will start with the

smallest I take. I also need to look at my t-3 dose and my Ferritin

levels again. I will save your message and maybe try after I have some

more bloodwork done and during a less stressful time.

Thanks again,
