Guest guest
In my country (Australia), Armour Thyroid is only available through compounding chemists in capsule form. As such, I could get SR version if I wanted. Would SR Armour be a good idea so I could just dose twice daily (morning and night), or is it a bad idea and I should stick to standard? I figure the SR Armour would mean the T3 in it would be released gradually which would be good? T4 of course doesn't really matter seeing as it has a longer halflife... Guest guest
I am ver leery of sr thyroid. I had no louck with it and if it is not compounded VERY carefully it loses potency. Are you certain ARMOU in capsules? It sounds to me like a T4/T3 combo . -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

I looked into it and the raw Armour pharmaceutical powder is shipped over here to compounding chemists as they are the only ones who sell it here. You can't buy Armour in bottles here etc. It's just called 'Natural Thyroid Extract' when it's scripted, but it's definitely Armour. I trust my chemist he's basically the leading expert in Aus on all this type of medicine so I'm sure his compounds are accurate. I'll ask him about SR Armour on my next consult with him - I assume he doesn't think it necessary as he didn't specify 'SR' when he prescribed my Armour, I just thought I'd see what you thought
