He stated that all my symptoms sounded like I was having alost of adrenal issues and as I tried to push him he said that he didn't think I needed to worry about my adrenal function. UGH!! He did fax me a test that I had in o4 prior to taking anything but synthriod. These tests were not done fasting from salt. Do they indicate anything? Aldosterone 11 4-31 Renin 24 No range listed Acth 30 .3-60 I asked him to test the aldosterone and renin and he refused saying that they were " tricky testing " What does that mean!! Its a simple blood test!!! I also asked him if I could have damaged my pituitary in my accident resulting in the hypo and adrenal problems. He said it was not common and it was probably a very emotional experience for a 7 year old which probably resulted in the problems. I also asked him about staying on the Isocort long term and if the ecanacia (sp) would cause problems. He just laughed and said I had the opposite problem with too many white blood cells. Sorry to vent, but I was really hoping that he was coming around and really wanted to get to the bottom of the problem.
