Guest guest
Oh Rita- For our son he was one long running upper respiratory infection from birth through age 4. It was primarily due to his very poor swallow - poor love was always drowning in his oral and nasal secretions, and he had horrible reflux as well. Our experience might not relate to yours. Airborne things - like garden leaf blowers, dry sand in the air and things like that did affect - especially the California Santa Ana hot dry winds. Household dust on surfaces and pet hair did not. Sawdust (like in a circus tent) that is being pounded into the air by trampling hooves awas also bad. lol! It does get better and easier, and the infections fewer, less dire, and further between.... Hang in there- best, yuka any advice on re acuring chest infection exuse my spelling i cant spell , ha ha im just after some advice about why caitlyn gets so many chest infections one after another i have 3 dogs that caitlyn wont stay away from crawling all over and trying to climb the stairs my dogs stay in the kitchen only so we try and make her stay away cos dog hairs will not be good for her i also have a guinea pig that has just had 5 babys i dont use hay when caitlyns around cos that wont be good for her iether. when caitlyn has a realy cold i think she swallows the snottys and because everything goes to her lungs it causes a chest infection any advice about how to minimize the risk of chest infections ie i dust just before caitlyn comes to mine am i been silly or what any idears thanks rita ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Rita, we went through the same thing with .. 19 hospitalizations before he was 2.. They kept saying that it was his immune system, which really did suck.. But it was a pumonologist that finally figured it out when he did a brochioscopy... had REALLY narrow bronchial tube (30% of normal on one side 15% on the other.. They at one time actually thought to do surgery to dialate them but decided to wait and see how he grew. He did and it's not a problerm now. He had all the allergy testing and was allergic to none of the commen allergens. Another reason could be reflux..
