Irregular periods - symptom of high cortisol?

Hi everyone - I've been feeling pretty good lately but now I'm having

some problems with irregular cycles. I've always been regular and last

month I freaked out because I was 5 days late and now this month I'm 11

days early. I'm also extremely bloated, I've gained about 5 lbs in the

past few weeks and haven't changed my eating habits. I got my thyroid

levels checked last month because I was feeling kind of hypo and the

doctor thinks these levels are fine and doesn't want to increase my

dose.

Free T3 349 (230-420)

Free T4 1.1 (0.9-1.8)

TSH 0.50 (0.35-5.5)

I'm on 20 mgs of HC - now I'm thinking it might be time to lower my

dose? I haven't been taking my temps but was wondering if irregular

cycles and weight gain could be a symptom of too high of cortisol? The

only think that has changed is I added some extra Vitamin C to my daily

vitamins. I don't think this could cause this.

thanks for any advice!

Joann

I disagree with your doctor. T3 needs to be at the very top of it's range and T4

shoul be 1.4 for best health. Low thyroid can cause all these symptoms you are

having.
