Chantelle...Maybe you should take it to a computer shop so you dont lose

everything......Do you know that all your files are still on the computer

can you see them in windows exploerer or anywhere? Maybe do a google search

explaining what is wrong with it. .I know there are some programs like

undelete but im not sure if thats what your looking for...I think especially

if you have important word files and stuff maybe you should just take it to

the computer shop

do you know why it crashed? did you have a virus or something? what was the

error message when it crashed? maybe try typing that into google and it

might come up with something

Chantelle-

No answers-just lots of sympathy. Are there any phone numbers to call for

assistance? (from the computer company). I have hewlett packard-and they

have live help online. Try to find the help page of the computer

manufacturer.

There is a page somewhere on mine that gives me a calendar with dates to

select to reset computer to that time. then you choose the day before the

crash, but I don't know how to find that page.

Good luck

in Ma.

Not sure if this will work but you can try and install a desktop

search program that will go through and look for files with partial

names. It will probably work better than standard windows search as

it indexes your entire hard drive.

Google Desktop Search is free: http://desktop.google.com/

Jeff

P.S. As a first pass, check C:\Documents and Settings\ to see if

there are multiple users as it may have created a new user when it

restored and there are now multiple My Documents folders under

different user names and your old user name has the old files in the

old My Documents folder.
