Guest guest
Val~ I have low estrogen, progesterone, DHEA, proognegalone, tetosterone. I am currently taking cortisol and T3 with progesterone cream at night on the 21 days of the month. I have been on birth control pills 9 weeks on and 1 week off. Recently, for the last couple of months I have done 3 weeks on 1 week off. This last time I decided to not take the birth control pills. My doctor told me that my estorgen is low due to being on birth control because it supresses it. I have recently had hot flashes in the day. I haven't really had them in the past but have had night sweats. Do you think it is okay to stop birth control? My doctor wanted me to eventually stop, but I decided since I have been feeling good on cortisol and it seemed like some of my anger issues could have possibly been from birth control pills because I didn't feel angry while off for the week I decided to continue to see what happens. Any thoughts??? Thanks Val, Rhonda
Guest guest
How much DHEA are you taking and what brand. I have tried Pronegalone with DHEA the DHEA was 25 and the Pronegalone was 100. I think these are high to start. I wasn't able to tolerate it. It made me feel out of it, but when it wore off I was calm, so I think it might help with the right dose....... Thanks Rhonda Re: Birth Control I read your post and thought, this sounds just like me! I went off BCPs about a year ago. My estrogen, progesterone and DHEA levels were all low, but I started supplementing with bioidentical estriol (the " good " estrogen), progesterone cream and sublingual DHEA. I feel so much better being off the pill! Getting your hormones back to normal takes A LOT of work though. I am still experiencing the hair loss that began when I started taking the BCPs...
