Guest guest
Hello , First of all, your London photos were just amazing. You have a wonderful photo album of your incredible trip. I love the way that you and your friends were so visible next to the specific sites you visited. Second, about Disneyland, there are no special rates for individuals with disabilities as far as I know. Disneyland does have specific days during the year when specialized prices for various groups of individuals apply. For example, in the spring there is Deaf Awareness Day where prices are lower and interpreters are easily available. Otherwise, requests for sign language nterpreters should be made at least two weeks in advance. Travel agents may help obtain passes with slightly better rates to the park than usual. I don't believe there are any rates that are specific to a disability, though. Hotels near the park also have two-three, or I think 4 day special rate passes. For individuals with very complex health issues, it's possible to get a pass at the City Hall just inside the park. The passes allow a person to enter the ride from a shorter line than other people would use. Our daughter qualifies for one of these passes, but I am not sure what all the qualifiying conditions would be. A person who uses a wheelchair would qualify for one of these passes. Perhaps the website lists various ways to qualify. It will be great fun to go to Disneyland! We live about a half hour away and tend to go fairly frequently. Kendra always loves it! Disneyland Hello! I'm starting my research into Disneyland on rates for people with disabilities, if they have get the guide in free or what. As well as services available--exit passes etc. Has anyone already looked into this? Thanks.
Guest guest
we travel to california for 1month every year for erikas therapy. we are lucky it is by Disneyland., so we go there alot during that month. erika is in a wheelchair, so we go to city hall and get a special pass. However, the last time we were there (October) we were told that you dont need the pass since she is in a wheelchair wecan use the wheelchair entrance (usually the exit). However, a lot of rides now have accesible entrances the same. However, we have seen so many people abuse this privelege. It is very upsetting. SOme people rent wheelchairs so they can use the special entrance. We have actually seen the people switch who gets to " ride " in th chair, before they get to the ride. I know some disabilites are not visiable, but when you see them take turns switching in the chair you know. When we inquired about this at city hall we wer etold because of the privacy law, they are not allowed to ask what the disability is. They are trying not to give these passes out, they try to saw if your disability is obvious you dont need one, you can go to the special entrance BUT THEY WILL GIVE A PASS IF YOU INSIST. it will have a special stamp on it. Every year we are there, we battle with this, but it is worth it b/c will not tolerate waiting in long lines, she has the breathing and coughing issues, plus she still cannot walk on her own. That is my experience! Cathie, mom to ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Guest guest
, we have had some inconsistent responses when we have asked for the pass. Some Disneyland employees have given it with a smile. Others have given us the third degree. Finally we asked why it was so vairable and the employee told us just to bring our old pass back each time and show it when we made our request. So far that has worked very well for us. Just as Cathie mentioned, there has been an effort to cut-down on people who don't need passes, from obtaining them. This approach has been in place for about 6 or so years at Disneyland. I have never been to Disney World in Florida, so I'm not sure how it compares. yes, i hope you get your pass without any undue delay. :-) Disneyland > > Hello!
