Guest guest
I am leaning towards your MI doc's advice. If you give each change 10 days you will kno what is doing what. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
So you think stay with 1/4 tab of Florinef for now and start adding back in the pred. liquid 1ml every three days until I'm up to 3mls and then resume working my way up on the Florinef. That's how he wanted me to proceed to start. He thinks that the pred. is most likely to address my sleep disturbance and that I need to be on more than the little 1ml that I was on before. Contrary to our conventional wisdom here and on Real Thyroid, he said to only reduce HC as I increase pred. " if I have trouble " and to reduce it from the night-time doses first. Didn't sleep much again last night, even with Ambien, although I broke up one pill into two and took the second half much earlier so I'm not a zombie this morning. Woke up starving 2 hours after I went to bed despite eating high protein snack before bed, and then at 4AM like usual, in a bit of a sweat, but not too bad, and didn't sleep much after. Fasting blood sugar when I got up at 7:30AM was 77. There is something happening right around or before 4AM that I don't understand but it is definitely happening every night and is the biggest cause of my problem sleeping. I understand waking up starving although, other than starting the Florinef, I don't understand why I am back to doing that again and why it is happening after only two hours of sleep instead of 4, but I don't understand the 4AM thing because, like this morning, there is no GI or hunger pangs, I just wake up, sweat a little and then lie there tossing and turning, dozing a little until I finally have to get up. There has to be something that I can adjust to push that waking up back two or three hours. Pred. was probably the answer and I shouldn't have quit it. Now I'm in the middle of getting on the Florinef and feel like I should finish with it before messing with pred again, but if Florinef isn't going to help me sleep I'm messing with the wrong thing first. > > I am leaning towards your MI doc's advice. Guest guest
Your fasting glucose says he is right to add more Pred. at 75 I treat mine wiht glucose tabs. So that is very close to hypoglycemia and may be low enough to cause adrenaline. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
