Hello all...just a quick update on 's back surgery today in San

.

Well, I finally figured out how to check email on my phone. It's a bit

awkward, but it's nice to feel connected again. The surgery went really

well. It went so smoothly. It's been a quiet afternoon. He's still on the

vent but they think they'll extubate him tomorrow. Hopefully, we'll get out

of ICU by Thursday. Tom and Will are planning to go home tomorrow and return

on the weekend. My Mom from SC is here with me. We're all exhausted but so

grateful to have the surgery behind us. He has 2 adjustable titanium rods,

one on either side of his spine running from his top 2 ribs down to his

pelvis. The plan is to expand the rods every 6 months. It is truly amazing

to see the before and after xrays. Thanks for all the prayers!
