Dear -

Thank you so much for your reply. I just now forwarded it to the mum, and I am

sure your experience will be a great comfort to her. So much to absorb and make

" normal " unexpectedly and all at once.....The parents are so intelligent and

bright - it is wonderful their heads are absorbing very quickly - I worry that

their hearts will explode - so much to take in at once.... and their great

capacity for information does not offer them that primary overload buffer...

Thank you again so much-

Yuka

(VSD) and pulmonary stenosis

Yuka,

Just an encouraging word... had coarctation of the aorta and a

VSD...the VSD closed on its own and the surgery to correct the coarct

was a great success, though tricky, at six days old and barely 4

lbs. I still remember the surgeon walking down the hall toward us

shaking his head...they used a Gore Tex patch to fix it. She had a

second surgery at age nine to " open it up again " , since the patch

obviously did not grow with her,and has a great report from a

cardiology standpoint...
