Guest guest
's Adrenal Fatigue is what I recommend to the clients in my office. I've also recently started his protocol, has anyone else used it exclusively for any length of time? Guest guest
Hi Terri! Great to see an ND on our list! While I love Dr 's adrenal support protocol as support I have not been impressed in it being used alone withotu additional cortiosl. Of course, often, by the time people find this list, their adrenal fatigue is in a horrid state and not the early stages at all where this protocol would be MOST useful! I have known several folks to try this unsuccessfully for several years (one 15 years!) and thn get releif immediately with hydrocortisone, so I do think the stage of adrenal weakness should be considered when this is chosen as a total support program. Also how bad the thyroid levels are. Some people can wait to start thyroid for months others are in dire needs of starting it quickly, in those cases, the cortisol needs must be quickly elevated to tolerate the thyroid hormones which precipatates adrenal healing as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
, Thanks for the info. I've been working with other herbs and products for years, and my thyroid is shot. I used to take a compounded dessicated thyroid product prescribed by my DO a couple of years ago, he wouldn't prescribe Armour, doesn't believe in the freshness/quality. I wish he would. Anyway, I have conversion issues and have to have Cytomel as well, which is the only pharmaceutical I'm taking at the moment. Thinking of asking him again for the Armour, just want to get the adrenals under control first, as last time I ended up with hyper symptoms, but my temps run from 95.6 to 97.2 and never higher, and they fluctuate wildly. I used to participate in the NTH group a couple of years ago and remember you from then, my husband is from sburg, WV, and we spoke (email) a couple of times....ND " s cannot prescribe in Louisiana, so I'm still at the mercy of my DO, and haven't seen him in at least a year. I've been going the herbal route, and it does help somewhat, but when stressed, it is just not enough. My husband works overseas in a war zone, and my daughter had a baby in January, got married this Friday, and my Yorkie had 7 puppies last week....if that tells you anything about my current stress level, lol....I'm exhausted and can't sleep, night sweats, hot flashes, cold hands and feet, legs and feet so stiff and sore that I can barely move, so sleepy in the mid afternoon that I think I'm going to die, and have gained 60 lbs in the last 2 years........you know the drill....I'm starting anew now, started the 's protocol today, still taking low dose Cytomel, 25 to 37.5 mg a day in 2 or 3 doses....I give myself B complex injections every other day, and am considering a 2nd round the hCG protocol of Simeons to help me get some of this weight off so that I can breathe....any other recommendations from your experience? I watched my mother suffer with this terrible fatigue, and now see it starting in my grown daughters, I have to find a way to put a stop to it so that I can teach them before it's too late....Thanks a bunch, Terri Terri Stovall, ND Traditionl Naturopathic Doctor Get Healthy, LLC www.inhw.org Nature's Sunshine Herbal Supplements --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Well basically until you get ENOUGH cortisol the htytroid can;t work properly. Have you done the saliva testing for yourself yet? Can you post the results? That is always the best poace to begin to try to fix it. I would sefinitely start wiht unrefined sea salt, that is excellent adrenal support wiht or wihtout cortiosl. Then possibly Isocort depending on where your adrenals are. Licorice Root if you have ebnnough cortisol in the mornings to try to extend it's usefulness. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
As an anecdote, I personally felt a teeny better starting wilsons, but now on Isocort, feel soooooo much better. I think there are physicians (MDs, NDs) out there (I found articles by them on the 'net) who believe in using Jeffries with 's supplement protocol. Meaning, while giving the adrenals a break, you're rebuilding them with supplements, so if/when its time to ween off, they're in a better state... I like that combination. It makes perfect sense. > > What stage do you consider HC a must as opposed to only s suggestions? 3,4,5,6 or 7? > > Stage 4 and beyond or ANY stage where the AM cortisol is below range. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
Thanks, I haven't done saliva testing recently, last testing was blood. I'll contact ZRT and do a new saliva panel next week some time. I do sea salt, actually brought it back from the Dead Sea myself last year, very high mineral content. Have used sea salt exclusively for years. I do a little licorice as well. I'll check on the Isocort and see what I think...last saliva test was a couple of years ago, I was low in the AM and high at night, below normal midday....average in evening....thanks Terri > > Well basically until you get ENOUGH cortisol the htytroid can;t work > properly.
