Guest guest
Went to an endo who was trying to figure out why I have high urine cortisol. he took desamethosone test which was normal but he took the following and I'm not sure what they mean and he never called (please don't tell me to call him since I can't understand his English anyways LOL) He wrote everything is normal. Aldosterone Renin Activity Ratio Plasma Nonhypertensive adults (upright/sitting) 5.3 (.65 - 5.0) Renovascular hypertenson possible > 1.5 ALDOSTERONE SERUM 8 (upright 8- 10am) < or = 28) I took this at 1:15pm 11-DEOXYCORTISOL < 20 (<= 62) I can go for several days to weeks and then all of a sudden my BP goes to 135/95 when I was in his office and looking at his white coat it was 146/105 but it returned to normal later that day. Guest guest
>>Aldosterone Renin Activity Ratio Plasma Nonhypertensive adults (upright/sitting) 5.3 (.65 - 5.0) Renovascular hypertenson possible > 1.5<< I would say this is Renin which is high as your body is asking for more Aldosterone >>ALDOSTERONE SERUM 8 (upright 8- 10am) < or = 28) I took this at 1:15pm<< Hard to tell as was not done close to 8AM when it peaks, but it is low for an AM level, I do nto knwo what it should be at 1PM. >>11-DEOXYCORTISOL < 20 (<= 62)<< This number is fine. It is a cortisol metabolite and shows a perfectly safe level. Not high. >>I can go for several days to weeks and then all of a sudden my BP goes to 135/95 when I was in his office and looking at his white coat it was 146/105 but it returned to normal later that day. << JUst elevated from stress in the Dr office, very common. But the 135/95 is showing a bit if hypertension. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
