Guest guest
This is from the Top Doc that I use in MI who I think is more knowledgeable, or at least more experienced, than the doc that I saw in GA, but who is harder to understand because he tends to ramble and think out loud. He is fine with me being on 40mg of HC and thinks that I could take more. He also thinks that my sleep issues are more likely to be addressed by prednisolone than Florinef but doesn't have a problem with me being on it either. He said that I should " try " the following: Continue HC as is (40mg - 10-10-7.5-7.5-5) Continue Florinef at 25mcg and then add later Continue 2 grains of Armour but work on front loading the dose more so that I am taking 60mg at 8AM, 30mg at 5PM and 30mg before bed Add back in the pred liquid at 1ml to start, up to 3mls over a period of 10 days or so which should help smooth out the bumps from the HC and help me sleep (which was the original plan with the stuff but it wasn't working consistently or I didn't give it enough time or take enough or who knows). He said that if I feel too hyper doing that I could reduce the HC starting with the 5mg bed-time dose, then the 6:30 dose and so on. He also said that I should work on one thing at a time for like 10 days so work on increasing the pred for 10 days. Then work on increasing the Florinef, then work on re-arranging my Armour dosing. Meanwhile, the doc who prescribed the pred and the Florinef (GA doc) said that I could try the Florinef but to discontinue the pred. I am totally confused and lost and don't know what to do. I think that if I do any or all of that, even one thing at at time, I'll never know what is causing which side-effect or symptom and I still might not be sleeping. Too many variables.
