Guest guest
Saliva testing showed extremely elevated progesterone 680, almost non- existant testosterone 7, jsut above range estradiol, adrenal fatigue stage 7, low DHEA, low free T3 and T4. Just got back new labs as follows: Estradiol 0.12 (0.5-1.6) Free estradiol percent 2.1 (1.7-5.4) Free estradiol, serum 0.03 (0.2-1.5) Sex hormone binding globulin 80 (16-100) LH 0.9 (0.5-5.3) FSH 0.8 (0.4-5.0) DHEAS 45 (less than 344 for a 12 year old) Hemoglobin Alc 5.4 (4.8-5.9) Insulin (fasting) = 17.4 (range 0-29.1) Cortisol 17.4 (4.3-22.4) I know there are differences between the saliva testing and serum, however I am baffeled. We have changed diet since the beginning of the year. I have changed to organic veggies, eliminated sugar and " white " foods from our diet, installed a waterfiltration system to remove flouride, etc. as well as we are now drinking raw milk. I encourage him to excercise and I have seen some improvement in his overall health and attitude. He has also been taking a multiple B, multivitamin, fish oil, vitamin e, and one Iodoral every morning since January. We should get the results of terstosterone bloodwork back soon as well. They had to do it in two bloodwork sessions, poor guy, he was nervous and his veins collapsed. So 8 tubes of blood later we have the above results which do not correlate with the saliva results. I am aware that " normal range " is not indicative of the overall picture. The doc suspected the pituitary gland, so we have scheduled an MRI to rule out any potential for tumors. MRI is tomorrow and we should have results of that next week. Any ideas? Please advise. Marva
