re caitlyns video swallow

thanks everyone for your messages about vidio swalling not good results

caitlyn is 18month old and has never eat oraly she has been tube fed

since birth but time leading up to her video swallow she was realy

enjoying eating oraly and made some realy good swallows but we have

been told not to oraly feed her at the moment cos of the food going to

her lungs they are going to re do the swallow test in 6 months time but

i got some helpfull and very interesting advice caitlyn does have a ot

but only for her walking isues not feeding and i dont know what a slp

is can anyone tell me i live in the north east of england maybe we dont

have them here but thanks for all the feedback it was a huge help

Hi Rita,

Slp - I think they mean Speech and Langage Practitioner, here in the UK we

call it SALT, Speech and Lanagage Therapist so I pretty sure you have one

for Caitlyn.
