absent semi-circular canals

Hi. It's been a few months since I've posted due to lack of having

enough time. My son Luke is 2 1/2 with CHARGE. We just found out the

results of the CT scan he had done on his inner ear last week. It

showed that he has little or no semi-circular canals. I thought I was

prepared for this result, since he obviously has balance issues, but I

was really hoping he would have at least some part of the semi-circular

canals present. Now, I'm really worried about how much more difficult

things will be for him since he has almost no sense of balance. I'm

hoping someone can give me some feedback on the potential for kids in

this situation. What can I expect? Walking, I hope? Thanks.
