Armour and poor adrenals...does this make sense?

I always thought I had read that if you have some level of low

cortisol/adrenal insufficiency, you would likely not be able to

handle much Armour...that you would have difficulty raising your

dosage.

So here is what doesn't make sense to me...even though my adrenals

tested 'ok' via Diagnos-Techs back in January, it was mentioned to me

(here and on the Thyroid forum) that my levels COULD indicate the

rise before the fall, as far as cortisol. Also, I have had several

situations over the last many weeks that would point to adrenal

insufficiency - which COULD confirm that my adrenals aren't as 'ok'

as they tested out. BUT, I have not had any real problem raising my

Armour (am now at 2.75 gr). In fact, I have needed to raise every 7

days because my hypoT symptoms get fierce by then...and raising by

1/4 grain seems to take care of them (for 7 days at least.)

Here is what I HAVE had trouble with...I keep gaining weight at a mad

pace!

So here is what I am wondering...

Could my adrenals be just healthy enough to be able to handle the

Armour, but crappy enough to be somehow making all the Armour that I

am taking not be fully available/absorbed? Hence the weight gain? (I

have such bad brain fog that I know what I am trying to ask...but

does what I just asked make sense?) Also, the hypoT symptoms of sore

feet, dry skin, fatigue, cold hands, etc don't seem to be going all

the way away during those 7 days. They just get marginally better.

Could I be continuing to gain weight because, even though, I have

upped to 2.75 gr of Armour, my adrenals are crappy? And if I were to

go on Isocort, would that help with the hypoT symptoms if the reason

they are not being helped is due to crappy adrenals?

I have been taking Ashwaganda and Rhodiola per Val here and have been

taking sea salt to help support my adrenals. But those don't seem to

be helping.

I need some help with this.

Thanks!
