So excited, but a little sad at the same time

Just wanted to post and say how much I'm looking forward to meeting

some of you in California. It'll be so nice to put faces to the

names I've gotten to know so well. I am however, really wishing that

Luke and the rest of my family were coming too. But, both with my

husband's job (at the bottom of the totem pole as a UPS driver and

VERY BUSY in the summertime filling in for vacations) and Luke's

tolerance (or should I say intolerance) for even the smallest

changes, we just couldn't do it this year. We decided Luke wouldn't

get enough out of going at his age to make up for all the stress he

would feel in such a different environment. Stress is a biggy for

Luke. Sooooo, it'll just be me and my mother-in-law there. I hope I

don't feel too much like an oddball being there Luke-less. I'm sure

it'll make me a little sad at times, especially once I meet all the

other little CHARGErs who are close to the same age as he is. It

would be so awesome if he could meet his little CHARGE friends.

Anyway, hopefully in 2009!! Both my mom-in-law and I are really

excited and feeling like the countdown is on. So much to do, so

little time. See ya soon!

PS - Anyone else going without thier kids???
