Val,

I got these labs back today(from blood draw 3/13):

potassium 4.1 (3.5-5.3)

magnesium 2.1 (1.5-2.5)

free T3 288 (230-420)

I had asked for electrolyte panel, but above is all I got. Last sodium

Sept 2007 was 141 (135-146).

I had asked for more thyroid tests since I forgot and took my Armour

before the last tests(2/27): TSH 0.04 (0.4-4.5), free T4 1.3 (0.8-1.8),

free T3 550 (230-420), reverse T3 25 (11-32), TPO <10 (<35), TgAb <20

(<20).

Also at that time Aldosterone 4 (4-31), Renin 6.2 (0.65-5.0), ACTH level

<5(5-27), ferritin 27(20-288), B-12 555(200-1100), folic acid >24 (over

5.4).

I am the one who had the HBP problems after I started taking cortef and

iodine and raised Armour. Am currently taking 3.25 grains Armour(my

original dose),

20 mg Cortef, no iodine, no bp meds, and ¼ tsp Celtic sea salt twice

daily. I just bought some Gentle Iron yesterday.

My bp is still pretty variable, lower in the mornings, higher at night.

The lowest it has been since I started taking the salt and quit the bp

meds is 119/75. The highest was 168/86. Right now it is 147/84, pulse

78.

Given that I should only change one thing at a time, what would you

suggest I do first? Increase salt intake? Try to optimize thyroid

levels? Address low aldosterone problem? Start taking iron? Start the

iodine again? I need a plan!

I know I need to do all of these things but in what order?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lynn
