Guest guest Posted March 18, 2008 Report Share Posted March 18, 2008 I was someone with severe hypoglycemia when I was rock bottom- it didn't matter what I ate, even just protein/fats didn't help. Once I got balanced on Armour and strengthened my adrenals (Licorice, C, salt, positive thinking, etc) my blood sugar issues went away. I had ALWAYS had issues with low blood sugar, as did my father, and it was a nightmare after my son was born. I am proof its not the " food " , I hate our society's new carb fears, it is the hormonal balance. I can go hours without food now, before I had to eat hourly! I can have a cup of coffee with a muffin, I can have dessert, etc. Food is no longer my enemy, it is a JOY. I also took digestive enzymes and still do if I have a high protein meal as I've never been great at digesting meats. Carbs are sources of important nutrients, like B vitamins and Magnesium.
