Guest guest Posted March 1, 2008 Report Share Posted March 1, 2008 Warning about Prometrium--yes, it is progesterone, but it is not sustained release, comes only in 100 and 200 mg doses, and hits your system all at once. I took it for less than a month, but had blistering headaches for six weeks that would not go away with anything I took (i.e., aspirin, etc.) The progesterone is also encapsulated in peanut oil, which can cause problems if you are allergic to peanuts. Thankfully, I'm not, and while I did get some sleep while taking it, the headaches were killing me. I got compounded progesterone after that.
