Dear Val,

I am doing ok.I fell into a pretty deep depression for awhile after my

husband passed but I am getting better.

After four moves and much upheaval I think I am doing darn good,lol.

I found a doctor in Statesville ,N.C. I am trying to educate,lol.

In fact last time I saw him I was trying to back off Cortef. He said don't

....you are not able to come off the meds. so I guess I am a lifer,lol. At

least he is understanding about this ..far better than most.I am so sick of

begging doctor's to listen to me..to see me.

Since my doctor in Raleigh had me on Cortef and Armour he has let me stay

on it.I had to educate him too,lol.(Dr. Gibbons) Cary,N.C...if anyone

is down that way.I think he will listen and treat now.He did read books and

studied this illness and finally wrote HC and Armour for me.It may have just

been his guilty conscience though..he almost let me die,lol.

I see more health care people joining these lists and it gives me some hope

for the future.Thank God for the internet ..without it I would have died and

I am so glad people have this resource now thanks to people like Val and

Janie giving their time to help us.

I didn't listen to Val to well and had some pretty rough times to start

with but I have learned to trust her wisdom.I was scared to do salt because of

my extremely high BP but lo and behold I said to my doctor...my BP has come

down instead of going up on sea salt. Amazing!!

If I had listened to my kidney doctor and gone off ALL salt I would have

died as my mother did.

My sister (whom I have been trying to educate to the fact our whole family

has this) GOOD LUCK TERRI!!!

asked me why I listened to Val and these people online instead of my

doctor's.I said simple because she saved my life after my doctor's almost let

me die.

Bless you Val and bless all the people on this list. You will feel better

soon.The fear is a lot of what you feel with messed up adrenals.Just try to

remember that.

I know we need to raise hell to get FDA'S .AMA'S attention but I don't have

a clue as to where to start and even the doctor's that will listen and treat

us I think are afraid to rock the boat and well they should be..things have

gone crazy in America.
