So, if you don't mind my asking, what made you break out of the mold you

were educated into, and start looking at people/patients in a different way?

Given the bits I know of how doctors are educated, how medical schools

are skewed to drug company benefit because of the $$ med schools get

from drug companies, given that the AACE is primarily funded by the

company that makes synthroid (apparently) and other such tidbits, I have

begun to wonder, not so much why most doctors do not give adequate help

to their patients, as much as I've begun to wonder how ANY doctor

escapes the prevailing mindsets.

What opened your mind? What made you begin to see things from a

different perspective?
