Guest guest
So, if you don't mind my asking, what made you break out of the mold you were educated into, and start looking at people/patients in a different way? Given the bits I know of how doctors are educated, how medical schools are skewed to drug company benefit because of the $$ med schools get from drug companies, given that the AACE is primarily funded by the company that makes synthroid (apparently) and other such tidbits, I have begun to wonder, not so much why most doctors do not give adequate help to their patients, as much as I've begun to wonder how ANY doctor escapes the prevailing mindsets. What opened your mind? What made you begin to see things from a different perspective? sol idlvr@... wrote: > OK, this is a bit of a rant, BUT as I learn more and more about functional medicine and start to help people who have nowhere to go and have been told they are just getting olk or some other ridicculous excuse, I get pretty disgusted with my profession.? The problem with this country is that everything is run by money, to the extent that since so many studies are funded by drug companies that is all that is taught and all that we are exposed to unless we dig and fo out looking for other stuff. In addition, millions of dollars are spent on cat scans and other expensive tests without looking at the basics AND the patient for fear of getting sued (and trust me, it is HELL).?
