Guest guest
well, we got the wellbrutin and he took it tonight. he was the big boy and tried to swallow one--he has never even attempted this before, so that in itself was a big step. he couldn't swallow it so we discussed that it would have to be crushed 2 of them and he would drink it w/ milk--quickly so he get it all. he did it!!! I don't have a pill crusher--cause we always get liquid--so I will be getting one tomorrow. cause try as I might I couldn't get it all powder the way I would have liked. but he took it--all. so, Deb, I hope you are right and the behaviors improve. I explained to him why he is taking it and told him michael takes it too. and hw likes that it makes him feel better. we decided it would be a nighttime ritual--hopefully that is right. the dr didn't say am or pm. on another note, pat and I had a huge blow up on thurs night--we were up all night talking and part of the am, but things are much better--we are on the road to recovery. I am really looking forward to the conference and us just being able to have time alone. at least we are talking now, things were pretty chilly here for quite awhile. it's amazing how we just go along living a life that no one likes ,b ut you don't know any different or else you are too afraid to make a fuss and try to change things --afraid they may not go the way you hope they will. or you get to the point you don't even care--luckily, we cared and are trying to change--realizing both of us are not perfect and both need to make changes. anyway, hopefully this week will be better than last and they will keep getting better, it won't be easy.....anyway hugs to all and say a prayer for us and hope that tim does well on this med. maria mom to tim 11 ChARGE keegan 9, liam 6 wife to pat
Guest guest
- My thoughts and prayers for you and Pat- - DJ and I have had our challenges too. I'm sorry you are on the " down " part of the marriage roller coaster. Hope the " up " comes real soon. Prayers for Tim too. I hope the meds work for him and he is able to recognize and find relief in the change. Hugs- Michele W
Guest guest
Debbie: Did he respond with the suicidal thoughts on the Risperdol also?!?! We had two incidences that the school said stated she was going to " kill herself " . These were, by the way, never expressed at home or in other counseling. Friends in CHARGE, Marilyn Ogan _____ From: CHARGE [mailto:CHARGE ] On Behalf Of Debbie Matasker Sent: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 10:12 AM To: CHARGE Subject: RE: Re: meds Hi Marilyn, My son didn't react well to that class of meds either (Risperdol, Prozac, Zoloft). We had a similar happening on Prozac and Risperdol and on Zoloft he was coming up with as many ways as he could to kill himself and became preoccupied with how he would die, so we removed it immediately.
