Guest guest
For any parents out there who's children are on clonidine for aid with agressive behaviors, I am needing some feedback. A few months ago, I submitted an e-mail asking what meds everyone has found that worked best and ones that did not. I received responses stating that clonidine worked well and did not seem to have a " honeymoon " effect as some of the other meds did. My son Ty is 8 yrs old and we have been trying Buspar which has turned out to have the honeymoon effect. I told my doctor about clonidine and he was not very comfortable with trying it but instead tried Klonopin which made him very aggitated as a side effect. So, I am asking for responses from those of you who do use clonidine and what type of response you saw with your child so that I can educate our physican. I really hate doing this trial and error with Ty but do need some positive relief for him. Any help would be great and appreciated. Thanks and have a great day to all- Jane, mom to Ty, 8 yr old CHaRgEr, 10 & Ysabel 5 --------------------------------- Park yourself in front of a world of choices in alternative vehicles.
