Hi All,

Since being on Isocort, Iodine and a bunch of other adrenal supplements

(Ashwaguanda in the " tincture " per one suggestion here), licorice, etc.

I've been doing pretty well and started weaning of the Klonopin at

night. I don't have " any " stressors right now as I just took a final

exam for a certification program so i figured this would be the time to

wean off Klonopin.

I pretty much follow the supplements. I take Isocort 2 pellets,

3x daily and energy level is stable. And iodine. I don't use /need

caffine anymore during the day.

My klonopin level at night to sleep was now up to .75-1 mg so I started

lowering it to .5 with Ashwaganda at night and Theanine. And i did

pretty well for a few nights. I was going to hold the klonopin at .5 mg

for a while. but the last 2 nights, i've had severe palpatations/racing

heart, it was aweful. couldn't sleept the night before. last night, i

was anticipating it... i could feel it coming on around 8. i took the

aswaganda. nothing. by 11 i was crazy. I was so mad at my husband for

watching TV, (even tho in the old days, i could sleep through a war

zone)...so I was acting nutty. my heart racing. I had taken 1 mg of

klonopin an hour before and nothing. finally in a last ditch effort, i

went downstairs to the kitchen and took out the phosphatidilserine. It

says 500 mg on the bottle. I haven't taken this yet because it has such

a high dose per soft gel (in the cortisol manager i had once taken it

had 50 mg, but i'm out of that now waiting for it to come back in

stock)... The PS were soft gels, and I was so desperate, i didn't care

if i made a mess cutting it up. so i cut it in half and then a quarter.

(surprisingly the gel was hard, not liquid) and fell asleep in 30 min.

Now you can assume it was the 1 mg of klonopin, however, that's how

much i had the night before and i didn't sleep. so i doubt it was that.

Its almost as if no matter what, if my cortisol tanks then shoots out

at night, no sleep aid will really help.

so whats the recommended dose for PS? Anyone know?

thanks,
