Do any of you get Dr. Mark Hyman's emails? He sent one yesterday where

the first sentence was:

Is it possible to reverse hypothyroidism and go

off thyroid medication?

I'm leery, but of course intrigued. Has anyone ordered the book, and

does it have any interesting insights? My guess is that it's false

hope, and I will always need my medications, but I was just

wondering....

Hi Sara, yes I get his e-mails too, it is interesting, ill keep

reading his info and see what he tells us, it seems a bit

easy but it does make sense most of it. I will always go the natural

route if I can in pretty much all things.

It depends on the medical situation. My sister used to be and after

2 years worked herself off of it and has yet to be back on the

thyroid meds. I at one time worked myself off of them too, then

after my auto accident and the adrenal crashed again on me I was put

back on them. I am hoping and think positively that I will again

work myself off of them too. I always believe my root cause is the

adrenal. Once that is strong, the rest will follow through.

It all depends on the medical situation and the why you became

hypothyroidism. Fix the root of the problem and not the symptoms.
