Guest guest
Margery, are you snapping the 25mcg tablet? I am having the same problem with splitting with a pill cutter...too much waste. I am not splitting into 4 parts just 2 and I cannot see how I would be able to split with my fingers. Any tricks?VeniziaSubject: Re: T3 dosing / dividing pillsTo: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, July 15, 2010, 2:12 PM I have better luck just snapping them into (roughly) 4 equal pieces with my fingers than using a pill cutter, which seems to more crush them than cut them. > > this is for either nick or valerie... > > i have hashi's and was prescribed armour, took for a month, and after new blood tests, my doctor has taken me off of armour and has me on 25 mcg of cytomel (along with iodine) > > i read on nick's site that he recommends dosing 4x a day, my doc has me taking 2 doses a day....even with just dividing the table (using a pill cutter) there is a tendency for the medication to crumble somewhat... > > i am curious about how you are able to cut this tiny med in 4 pieces, and also get your opinion on simply dividing the dosage in two... > > i've only been on this treatment for a week and i'm already getting some symptomatic relief..although sleep seems a bit worse (hasn't been 'good' in years, so its hard to tell) > > thanks to you both and everyone on the forum! >

The Aventis are a little larger and scored in quarters but much more expensive Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com

Guest guest
Mine are scored also but they seem a little small for me to grab and snap. We shall see!VeniziaSubject: Re: T3 dosing / dividing pillsTo: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, July 15, 2010, 5:01 PM Yes, it's the 25mcg tablet. Mine are scored down the middle, I just try and snap along that score line. (I need my reading glasses for this!) I usually get two reasonably even halves (not perfect though). My pill splitter just crushes them into crumbs. > > > > > > this is for either nick or valerie... > > > > > > i have hashi's and was prescribed armour, took for a month, and after new blood tests, my doctor has taken me off of armour and has me on 25 mcg of cytomel (along with iodine) > > > > > > i read on nick's site that he recommends dosing 4x a day, my doc has me taking 2 doses a day....even with just dividing the table (using a pill cutter) there is a tendency for the medication to crumble somewhat... > > > > > > i am curious about how you are able to cut this tiny med in 4 pieces, and also get your opinion on simply dividing the dosage in two... > > > > > > i've only been on this treatment for a week and i'm already getting some symptomatic relief..although sleep seems a bit worse (hasn't been 'good' in years, so its hard to tell) > > > > > > thanks to you both and everyone on the forum! > > > >
Guest guest
When I have pills that crumble, I wet them slightly with my tongue and then they are easire to split. I guess being a bit wet makes the outside less crumbly. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge!
