Guest guest
Here's my test results: RT3 436 pg/ml 90-350 TSH 1.470uIU/ml 0.450-4.500 Triiodothyronine, free, serum 2.4 pg/ml 2/0-4.4 T4 free (direct) 1.38 ng/ml 0.82-1.77 ferritin 13 ng/ml 13-150 Iron and TIBC Iron Bind Cap (TIBC) 323 ug/dl 250-450 UIBC 274 ug/dl 150-375 Iron , Serum 49 ug/dl 35-155 Iron Saturation 15% 15-55 I just switched from levothyroxine 75mg, which I was on for a year, to T3/T4 compound, plant based. I was hoping to make the switch over to NTH (dessicated) but I think I need to start with cytomel. I asked my doctor to prescribe me the cytomel but he's on vacation for another 3 weeks. I have most of the symptoms from the STTM hypo list and just developed some new symptoms. I have sudden muscle weakness, my hands, wrists and upper arms all hurt . All this information has been very overwhelming. I want to get better to be able to play with my daughter and not be so extremely depressed all the time from feeling this way. Guest guest
Your iron is VERY low. That will cause issues in tyring to take T3 in any form. I woudl stay on the combo uniitl yo can get th eir0on up a bti and I would start immediately on 100-mg elemental iron daily and worki up to 200mg a day in two doses with vitamin C to help absorbtion. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Here's my test results: > > RT3 436 pg/ml 90-350 > TSH 1.470uIU/ml 0.450-4.500 > Triiodothyronine, free, serum 2.4 pg/ml 2/0-4.4 > T4 free (direct) 1.38 ng/ml 0.82-1.77 > ferritin 13 ng/ml 13-150 > Iron and TIBC > Iron Bind Cap (TIBC) 323 ug/dl 250-450 > UIBC 274 ug/dl 150-375 > Iron , Serum 49 ug/dl 35-155 > Iron Saturation 15% 15-55 > > > > I just switched from levothyroxine 75mg, which I was on for a year, to T3/T4 > compound, plant based. Guest guest
Thankyou , I will start the iron today. I also started B-12 and Vit D-3 since those were low also. How long do I stay on the t3/t4 combo and supplementing with iron before I switch to t3 only? I am also on a adrenal cortex. I m telling you all this, so if anything interacts that you know of, please let me know. > > Here's my test results: > > > > RT3 436 pg/ml 90-350 > > TSH 1.470uIU/ml 0.450-4.500 > > Triiodothyronine, free, serum 2.4 pg/ml 2/0-4.4 > > T4 free (direct) 1.38 ng/ml 0.82-1.77 > > ferritin 13 ng/ml 13-150 > > Iron and TIBC > > Iron Bind Cap (TIBC) 323 ug/dl 250-450 > > UIBC 274 ug/dl 150-375 > > Iron , Serum 49 ug/dl 35-155 > > Iron Saturation 15% 15-55 > > > > > > > > I just switched from levothyroxine 75mg, which I was on for a year, to T3/T4 > > compound, plant based. Guest guest
It will probably take at least a month to get Ferritin u enough to tolerate much T3 at all, then yiu can either retest it or just Trial small dose of T3 to see how well you utilize it. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Thankyou , I will start the iron today.
