Guest guest
You shoudld never eat before electrolyte labs you do nto need to knwo what is there RIGHT after eatign but what your body HOLDS onto in between eating and yours is nto holding enough potassium. I would supplement . http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Potassium 3.8 (3.6 - 5.0) > Calcium 2.25 (2.15 - 2.51) > > I did this fasting from food and liquid. > Does this mean I need to eat more bananas or do I NEED potassium supps? Caus mostly when I run potasssium in serum its 4.0 or 4.2 or higher. I always eat before my blood is drawn so. In my mind it looks like my potassium is ok! It just looks a bit low before I eat! Guest guest
I understand. But my GÅ though - It's like... Impossible not to eat before testing electrolytes every single time when the GP runs the tests all of a sudden. This time, I asked for a fasting test though! Cause I knew I'd be "clean" while doing so. GP also told me that electrolytes vary all the time and that they can be high range or low range and it doesn't matter. I don't know. I get a lil worried when you, , say I need to supplement potassium though cause somehow I trust you more than my GP for adrenal and thyroid issues. Why do you think my body is not holding onto potassium? For the same reason as it's not holding onto sodium? Weak adrenals? And what about growth hormone, I should start it next week - I hear that can make potassium fall while taking growth hormone as well? I was told to look out for fluid retention in hands and feet - Then I know that I need to reduce the GH-dosage. In your opinion, based on that one new lab, how much potassium should I take daily as a supplement? 3000 mg daily or? And do I need to have the EXACT same intake of sea salt daily to not mess with the shift of potassium/sodium in the cells too much?2% of our total potassium is in the serum. The wholeblood (wholeblood = a total of Serum & RBC values) test I did back in March this year showed that I had an over the top total potassium. Maybe things have changed since then, but... How does that work ; Too high potassium in the tissue would not allow potassium to fall like mine, or? Would my serum potassium only fall like that if I have LOW tissue potassium? I do eat a lot of vegetables and some fruit, so I should get enough potassium every day. But it's the holding onto stuff that's the problem. I see. Just want your opinion on the high vs. low tissue potassium. OH!! I did run that RBC Potassium like... Was it in April.. And it came out mid-range! My potassium! From what I remember!I found the links to both my Potassium tests; Wholeblood and RBC:Wholeblood March 2010:http://nightrangerweb.net/health/DSCF2753.JPGRBC April 2010:http://nightrangerweb.net/health/DSCF2769.JPGI had just been on Fludrocortison for 8 days some days before doing the RBC test though. But Fludro would only make Potassium fall, so, maybe I had higher Potassium than that lil bit below mid-range as we can see on the RBC test.I did wake up one morning (a few weeks ago) with an irregular heartbeat that didn't stop for many seconds. That could've been low potassium, I guess. You know me, I wanna be sure in things before I do changes. Should I run another fasting electrolyte test to see if the result is the same before supplementing with potassium? OR even run an RBC potassium test to see how things really look? These things sure are interesting! Guest guest
Trying to figure out how I should do this... I bought some Potassium Asporotate 100 mg a capsule. Just in case I get a high pulse or something. I wonder, should I adress this to Hertoghe? He will not be in his office in all of August, and only be back in September. And they won't have any docs there from today til mid-August. So I am all alone for 3 weeks. Still curious about that potassium. Maybe I should run another RBC test for it asap!?
