Could you look at my 12 yr. daughters labs and tell me what you think. I am thinking i should order her a 4x saliva cortisol...her ratio seems bad to me....but hoping to avoid any thyroid meds at her age...can you see a problem here ?

TSH...1.1 UIU/ML (0.3-5.1)

FT4...1.02 NG/GL (0.73-1.95)

FT3...4.0 PG/ML (2.3-4.2)

Reverse T3...281 PG/ML (90-350)

Ferritin...101 NG/ML (7-150)

Vitamin D ...38 NG/ML (30-100)

She seems to occassionally suffer with anxiety...she has a history of bad anxiety that we lessened with a long period of time on St. s Wort..she takes a lot of supps including b complex etc....vitamin c...will need to increase her vitamin D...any suggestions...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reference_ranges_for_blood_tests#Thyroid_hormones

Look at the real ranges for children. She is hypothyroid wiht an RT3

problem. YES I would order btoh a saliva cortils and a full iron

p0anel as young gals are especially prone to problems wiht iron.
