Your FT3 is bottom of range and RT3 over range. You need to be on T3 only at a much larger dose >Currently I take: >HC – 5 mg (morning), 2.5 (afternoon) The Adrenal group can help you here (details at the end) but basically that can be enough to make matters worse and not enough to help The opinion there is that less than 20 of HC can lead to a reduction in your own production without enough to replace the amount it's been reduced by >Dermamag – magnesium oil >Levoxyl – 50 mcg >SRT3 – 2.25 mcg >Sea salt – ½ teaspoon (morning and afternoon0 > >I started SRT3 in April at .25 mcg and have worked my way up to 2.25 currently. I add about .25 a week. If I increase too much I get electrolyte imbalance (muscle aches, weight loss) and usually takes me a week to recover from it before I can add more T3. Please advise on how to increase T3. I just added Ashwagandha ( I am not sure if it is helping). I have also posted on the adrenal group as well. you need to drop the T4 and replace it with a lot more T3. 2.5 is not normally enough to notice and may be making things worse by lowering your own production without replacing it with enough. Suggestions are:- Start supplementing iron heavily, 150 to 200mg of elemental iron a day in 2 doses, don't start at this level, build up over a couple of weeks. Start graphing temperature as per the link on the RT3 site temperature page and increase HC until the day to day averages are stable. At this point you should be able to tolerate enough T3 to do some good! " most people " need between 75 and 125, you may need more as your RT3 is so high. With labs like that I am not surprised you have lots of hypo symptoms and fibro Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com For lots of good information of adrenal issues http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com/ and the adrenal group on http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
