Guest guest
Hi, I started July 7th with 12.5mcg T3, and around the 9th stopped all T4.......I have been increasing every few days or when I feel hypo symptoms (getting tired, dry hair/skin, hair fallout, etc.), and today Aug 1st am up to 56.25mcg/day..........does this sound about right for this stage? Am I supposed to do a blood test to retest my levels at a certain point? Thank you!

Seems reasonable to me, you only need blood tests at this stage if you are having trouble finding the right dose, you are shooting at a moving target and any test results will just be a snap shot as things go by. Guest guest
what tests do I take? I thought you had to be off T3 for 2 wks prior to taking tests. Can I take the normal thyroid panel only? Otherwise I have to wait til I am in the US to test for RT3 because they don't do it here (they send it to Mayo and it is very expensive)......so should I just keep increasing then til I get to around 75 or so? Is that ok?>....I have been increasing every few days or when I feel hypo symptoms (getting tired, dry hair/skin, hair fallout, etc.), and today Aug 1st am up to 56.25mcg/day..........does this sound about right for this stage?
