Guest guest
Hi Stacey, My main expertise is B12, and no, your B12 level is not god at 292 - although I have never seen the lab ranges you cite. Your serum B12 should be top of the range, preferrably above range. I would recommend you begin supplementing B12 using methylcobalamin, 5,000 mcg. A sublingual would be good at this point for you, and Jarrow makes one that is well absorbed. Pam
Guest guest
Pam: if you take high doses of methylcobalimin, do you have to take similarly high doses of the other B vitamins? Guest guest
Hi Whitmore, You *do* need to take the other B's when supp'ing B12, especially folic acid. But I don't think you need to megadose them just because you are megadosing B12. Pam
Guest guest
Sorry I haven't responded before now. I don't know the answer to this question. I don't think that you have to megadose the other Bs, and in fact I wouldn't advise it unless you are deficient, or have some other medical reason specific to that vitamin.
