Reason is that they are not strong enough. The warning came from Iguard.org. I have copied/pasted the notice below. Pati Paddock Laboratories, Inc. Recalls Single Lot of LiothyronineTablets Paddock Laboratories, Inc., has recalled a single lot of Liothyronine Sodium Tablets, 5 mcg. Lot number 9C548 has been recalled because routine testing found that the amount of active ingredient may be too low in this lot. Liothyronine used in the treatment of hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland does not make enough thyroid hormone Liothyronine is also sold under the brand names Cytomel and Triostat. No other lots, strengths, or brands of Liothyronine are involved in this recall.
