Be sure to read Moderator Nick's website, http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/

there are many good answers there: What is RT3? Do I have an RT3 problem? How

do I get rid of (clear) it? How do I start the clearance process? It's all

there.

What jumped out at me in your post was " low body temperature " and

" hypothyroidism " , here's a relevant quote from the " what are the symptoms of RT3

problems? " page on Nick's website:

" The main symptom of RT3 issues is that of hypothyroidism that won't respond to

treatment. "

from

Specific to two of your comments:

> My usual dose of thyroid hormone is 150 mcg of Levoxyl and 37.5 - 50 mcg. of

Cytomel. My body does not convert t4 to t3.

If your body does not convert T4 to T3, I'm not sure I see the benefit of taking

the Levoxyl (T4). Many here have found that T4 causes and/or contributes to an

RT3 problem.

> So far I have tried with no help....seriphos before bed, adrenal glandulars

with adrenal cortex, dhea

Since everybody is different, I can only share my own experience with these. I

had LOW night time cortisol and Seriphos made it LOWER, giving me 3 AM crashes

(I always thought they were panic attacks). Serpihos at bedtime may help people

with HIGH night time cortisol. Adrenal glandulars may contain adrenalin, which

made me worse. DHEA made me worse.

Hope this helps.

> Hi! My name is Di and I'm new here. I don't know where to start. I am 55 years

old and for many years I have had low body temperature, low blood pressure, low

pulse, hypothyroidism and celiac disease. Currently, my worst symptoms are very

early morning waking, pounding heart, fatigue, and water retention. Lots of

others symptoms too though. I have been on medical leave from work and have to

be back in less than a month. My saving grace has been naps but I can't do that

when I go back to work.

Cytomel doesn't like blood tests and uses muscle testing which doesn't seem to

be very accurate. My insurance doesn't cover him but he is open minded.
