I thought I read somewhere that reverse T3 is not required? Anyone got some 'ammunition' regarding this that I can take with me to the doctors next week? Hi There are plenty of us on T3 only with effectively no RT3 left. As long as you dose the T3 correctly there is no problem having " below range " RT3. Guest guest
RT3 is a leftover in our bodies from a time when we relied on hunting and gathering for survival. Whne we had an illness that prevented us ebign able to DO those things for food, if our metabolism did nto have RT3 we would starve ot death in short time. It is a survival thing meant to put us in a low metabolic state to allow our bodies to heal ewiht out needing to eat. We have plenty of foo now even when ill. We no loniger NEED to slwo our metabolisms to survive a famine.; http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Hi Everyone, > > I'm a little concerned that my doctor told me it's important to have some reverse T3 in my system because being his only patient on T3 only drugs (he treats reverse T3 by adding T3 to NDT), I am afraid he won't find any in my lab results. Guest guest
Thank you Val, I have read a similar post from you before - so thank you for taking the time to post it again and confirm things for me. I will take this info into my doctor and see what he says - oh boy, I am so sick of pissing off doctors! It requires so much energy when sick. But, in doing so, I am getting somewhere. Bless the day our all doctors treat this condition properly so no-one has to go through these added stresses when already sick anymore.
