I woudl get off the Dexadrine. It WIL muck up your sympotoms and is

possibly causing the high temp and definitely will cause a high pulse.

That amount of T3 will NOT cuase those things. Once your T3 levels are

better you wil not need it anyway. ADHD is nothign but lwo T3 syndrome.

Ooops sorry. I found where he does state to not raise when temps & pulse are

high.

I still would like to split this 12mcg into 4 doses (spread 3 hrs apart), and

maybe when I'm ready to raise add a 5th nightime dose of this same amount (aprox

3.12mcg)??

Is this ok to do?

thanks!

I really do want to get off the dexedrine (hoping with resolving of the rt3),

but I don't feel ready to get off them yet, don't think i can keep things

together without it ... and i've been taking these stimulants like this for 15

years.

Val do u think i can still proceed while taking it? maybe i can just cut down a

little at a time?

I don't think i can do this without the dexedrine, i won't remember things and

won't be motivated, the depression and fatigue.. and i know my problems will

affect my job and my relationship.

thanks, Lila

Lila,

Sure, it's fine to split up your t3 that way and then add a bedtime dose, later.

BUT I do truly feel for you. I've been on ADs before and have been on

anti-anxiety meds a long time, too. I know I cannot heal unti I finally get all

weaned off. But my anxiety and mood got SO much better when I got onto enough

t3! Memory, too. I could barely think anymore and I used to be a lawyer!

I hate to say this, but the fact is that you are on such a tiny dose of t3,

there is NO WAY it can get rid of rt3 or fix a hypo problem. :-( I am not saying

this to be mean. :-( If the dexedrine is masking the hypo, then you need to wean

off of it. Being hypo does create neurotransmitter problems and THAT is was

causes your depression, ADD, etc. I would try taking some amino acids like

dopamine precursors 9tyrosine is one) and 5htp to naturally boost your

neurotransmitters while you try to get off the dexedrine and get onto more t3.

There are a lot of studies on the use of increasing dopamine NATURALLY instead

of using drugs to fix these things.

Thanks for the input Kathleen, yes the stimulants have been masking the

symptoms, so well... i have been looking for an alternative for a long time, it

seemed like a miracle when i found out about Rt3 and the symptoms and it

explains everything....so this is actually what i really want... to get off this

medication (or more accurately to feel well without it!!)

And also, not sure, but in case u might have thought i was going to stay at this

small dose, i do plan to raise it so that the rt3 clears as suggested here by

Val and Nick (if it's safe to do so). i thought maybe i needed to just go in

smaller increments and/or take a little more time between raises.

Thank you for the amino acid suggestions, i will definitly look into that.

I'm glad to hear you are doing much better, i wish you luck in getting

completely off the medications, from reading others' experiences it seems that

there is a continuing improvement of issues over time, so your body may still be

healing itself. but ur experience gives me hope!

I just wonder how to proceed, i think i will schedule a phone consult with val

tomorrow, and she has experience with addiction issues also which is a factor

i'm sure.

Thanks! :) Lila

Did not take the morning bbt (mornings are when I feel the worst) on these days

but the previous week I took it on a few mornings and it was 97.1 twice and 97

once , my pulse seems to range anywhere in the 90's (taken in both am and
