Do I increase T3. Do i just wait?......help? I would drop the T3 to 100 for a day and then add more adrenal support on the second day, do you have any HC cream?? rubbing some of that on your skin may show you if it is adrenal How long have you been on T3 only??? if it's around 12 weeks you may have just cleared resistance and the surplus T3 crashed your adrenals?? Guest guest
Hi Steve, Just me two cents here. When I thought I was fairly stablized on my T3 I started having problems with a drop in temp whenever I took my HC. I kept thinking I needed more T3 but that was not the case. I guess it was my body's way of telling my that I did not need the adrenal support. I slowly weaned and have not taken any form of adrenal support. Sometimes when on T3 it also helps to heal to adrenals. You may try lowering your dose of adrenal glandulars and possibly pay attention to what happens when you do take the adrenal support. My temps would rise with the T3 but when I took the HC I had a major drop. Guest guest
Hi Nick Thanks for the reply. My meds haven’t changed at all, not even the batch, but I have weaned off the Anti-Depressant Venlafaxine about 3 weeks ago. I was on such a high dose that it has taken me 5 months to wean off. I was cautious to go slowly so as not to stress adrenals. I am around week 12 so you are probably right about clearance. I will reduce the T3 as you recommend. I have a problem with the HC bit because I started on Nutri Adrenal Extra glandular on the recommendation of Dr Peatfield and they have helped loads but I don’t know how much cortisol is in them. I never did a saliva test as he works off symptoms so I wouldn’t have a clue how to dose HC or isocort. I take 5 Nutri Adrenal Extra and 4 Nutri Adrenal (half the amount of glandular as the Extra). I added the 4 as I also suspected adrenals as the culprit. I was a bit unsure about taking any more as I know too high cortils can be as bad as too low L I know I should do saliva testing but I can’t face weaning off glandulars for 2 weeks as I also know I would have to cut my T3…..ggrrrrr. If I have cleared shouldn’t my temps rise and I go Hyper rather than temps drop and I feel wasted? My temps yesterday came back up to 36.5 basal and average of 36.4 for the day. Wow it’s such a balancing act we perform trying to get things on the level. I’ll try some HC cream. Any more advice you can give is much appreciated. Guest guest
>If I have cleared shouldn't my temps rise and I go Hyper rather than temps >drop and I feel wasted? My temps yesterday came back up to 36.5 basal and >average of 36.4 for the day. My working theory is that you cleared, went hyper, and this crashed your adrenals. If I am right dropping T3 to half for a day and keeping up the adrenal support will let temperature recover. After a few days you can ramp the T3 up again to find your new dose I hope I am guessing right Nick
