my daughter just told me that last night she took her zinc before bed instead of in the morning like she had been doing....so that means she took zinc and also melatonin before bed..could that have lowered her cortisol too much and explain the drop in basal temp??

so should she move the zinc back to morning ?? how much should she increase her t3 meds now??

valerie...today my daughters basal temp dropped really low..to 97.0 ..at 10 am it was 97.7....you had said she should increase t3 some before leaving for college next week...based on this temp drop what do you think is going on??

should she increase t3?? and if so how much and where should she put it....her info is below??

valerie...the other day on our phone consult you suggested i get some blood work on claire my 18 yr old ....she is currently on..1 grain NT, with 12.5, 12,5, 12.5 ,12.5 of T3

her blood pressure was 177/68 her pulse was like 68 i think...she is very fit and athletic

her basal temps the last 2 days at 730 am have been only 97.7

here is blood work....what do you think she needs to do...she leaves for college in 1.5 weeks...

Iron serum....132 (35-155)

TIBC.....256 (250-450)

UIBC...Low.. ..124 (150-375)

Iron Saturation.. ..52 (15-55) %

Ferritin...112 (13-150)

Glucose fasting....88 (so this clears a concern about insulin resistance correct??)

FT3....4.9 (2.3-5.0)

hope you can direct me so i can send her off up to speed...

thanks so much >..Dawn
