Ohio Connection Walk (from the HSP List)

I'm forwarding from the HSP List. Moira held a TW in Toledo 2 years ago.

She needs some helping hands. One thing, we who are taking on these

TWs, need to think about is getting help beyond ourselves. Maybe some of

Moira's classmates might help out. For students, this would be a good

opportunity to volunteer

for extra credit. In Columbus, there were lots of students helping out -- of

course it was the National Conference and had lots of people for the Walk.

For our CA TW, as hopefully you have read, our church is partnering with us

and holding a " real " 10K/5K run/walk and then our casual TW will follow. We

plan to have 30 volunteers from the church to help with the race. We have to

clean up and have water stations for the runners, etc. Fortunately, that's

another committee. :-)

Subject: Ohio Connection Walk

Hello all,

This is Moira in Toledo, I am feeling out how much interest there would be

in a Toledo Connection Walk this year. I guess at this point I am

tentatively thinking of August or early September but nothing is set in

stone yet. I would of course appreciate any and all help that can be

offered, I will be starting my Professional Education courses in the Fall and

I don't know that I will have the time and/or energy-lol, to organize the

whole thing.. Well anyway it has been a hard day here so I am off! Hope to

hear lots of responses soon-hehe!
