Hi Sage, I'm not positive but it may have been " Natural Hormone Balance For

Women " (by Dr. Uzzi Reiss) That book was recently being discussed on the NTHA

Chat Group.

estrodial while waiting for my oestrogel to arrive. I'm 43 and after going over

my labs with Val a month ago she did think my estrogen was low . . . range

43-211. I've had symptoms that havne't resolved with HC or T3 (am in the

process of weaning HC after clearing) I also had a hard time differenciating

high cortisol symptoms with what I now believe were low estrogen symptoms such

as INSOMNIA, depression, bad irritability, hair thinning/loss and some others I

can't think of at the moment.

dominant according to Val. Definitely made sense. I had breast tenderness that

estrogen relieved right away. I also had my sex drive return ONLY after taking

estrogen. I've taken testosterone before and nothing. Recently started it

again and still no sex drive for 2 months but add estrogen and wow there it was.

But my other symptoms are not resolving and I think its a dosing thing.

Sorry to jump in here, but I have A LOT of questions regarding sex hormones and

I was wondering if you could please tell me what the NTHA group is that you guys

are talking about? Is it a good place to go for advice about bio-identical

hormone replacement? Thanks

I have alot of questions too as I am starting estrogen for the 1st time and boy

is it making a HUGE difference. I should have known about this years ago. I've

learned about testosterone and some important things about progesterone due to

Val.

Good Luck

Sage,What form of estrogen are you using and how much. I've been reading some of your posts on this topic and I'm pretty sure I have estrogen deficiency and possibly too much progesterone. I have tender breasts that do not improve with progesterone. I have hair loss and I get horrible night sweats the first couple days of my period. My blood work shows low estrogen, low testosterone, and progesterone near the top of the range. This is testing on day 21, which from what I gather may not be the best day to test estrogen. But I still think based on my symptoms that I definitely have low estrogen.
