You could call the best hospital in your area, or near enough to you to be helpful and request a referral to the kind of doctor you want. Most hospitals have referral departments.

Interesting doc...Did you see him in person for your first consult or can the first consult be over the phone? Do you tell him what labs you want or does he decide what labs to order? Does he only treat thryoid? Would be interested in more info about how his practice works.

Does he or she need to take insurance? Would you be open to a doctor that you consult by phone from another state? If so, I have had good luck with this doctor
