Ferritin...82

FT3....4.3 pg/ml (2.3-4.2)

FT4....0.40 ng/dl (0.73-1.95)

TSH....<0.1 (0.3-5.1)

RT3....84 pg/ml (90-350)

With being MOSTLY on T3 (Her T4 is VERY lwo) she will need way over

range T3 to be unhypo. On a combo of T3/T4 her FT3 shoudl be 1.4 to

give you an idea and abotu 80% of that will convert to T3. SO she si

stil missing ALL that T3 fom conversion she shoudl eb gettign so she

si funcitonally hypothyroid. The problem I see in her labs is a very

supressed TSH 2hihc means her body is not going ot convert more T4

prioperly. There is stil something preventing her from utilizing

thyroid correctly. hwo is her IRON? Her BP is fine in fact a bit on

the low side which could mean adrenal problems.

her ferritin was 82....and we have increased her T3 meds since we did this blood work..she is now on 12.5, 12.5,12.5, 12,.5 so her blood pressure reading today was based on this dosage of meds NOT on the dosage reflected in her blood work...

as for her adrenals....at last test you suggested melatonin at bedtime...she of course takes lots of b's and c etc...

what else do you suggest?? any ideas...she feels good..but of course she never knew how bad she felt until she got better....what should we do?? she is leaving for college in 2 weeks and will not have blood work again until december break...

i am confused and have another question...if her basal body temps are ok...98.1 preovulation...and her pulse is 60 (she is an athlete so in very good shape)...she is not jittery or having heart issues...how do you know she is functionally hypothyroid...i mean what am i looking for exactly?? her ferritin was ok at 82....her vitamin d was good too at last look...her past cortisol suggested melatonin...and she is feeling better other than weight...

i am confused in part because i also have thyroid issues!! but maybe i should do a phone consult with you...do you think that might help us understand...maybe i could get her on phone too and you could tell us what to do and why!
